About
Yoshiki Maruhashi is a Japanese composer based in Liverpool, UK, whose work spans film music and a range of contemporary media.
He began playing piano at the age of five, and later expanded his musicianship to guitar, bass and drums. During high school, he performed in bands and developed a strong passion for composing from an early age.
Yoshiki studied composition at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he began writing original music for films and visual media. His music was selected to be performed at the graduation ceremony, attended by notable figures including Paul McCartney, Rowan Atkinson, and Stephen Fly.
Since graduating in 2019, he has continued to create music for indie films, music libraries, and a documentary, collaborating with a variety of creators internationally.
In 2020, he wrote Lo-Fi hiphop tracks for 'Tokyo LosT Tracks - Sakura Chill' by Sony Music Japan, showcasing his versatility across multiple styles and formats.
He remains dedicated to crafting immersive musical experiences that enhance storytelling across media.
